"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication".—Leonardo da Vinci
Hexes Chess 4P3 is the three-player version of Hexes Chess 4-Pawn. It is a compressed chess game, so the pawns do not get two-hex opening moves, and there is no en passant rule. Each of its three "arms" is called a tridrant (rhymes with hydrant). Each tridrant has four files (columns). An idiosyncrasy of the Hexes Chess 4P3 is that it uses a different bishop and knight set-up than its two-player counterpart.
