Official Hexes Chess Game Rules

All Hexes Chess games use the same basic rules and the chess pieces move in the same way. Because each game has a unique chess-piece set-up, and its own castling moves, Hexes Chess provides separate illustrated rules for all four chess games. The full-size chess games (6-pawn and 9-pawn) permit two-hex opening moves for pawns. Because of the increased lateral mobility of pawns in Hexes Chess, the en passant rule has been omitted.
